Rating: ⭐⭐ Heat:🔥🔥🔥 There seems to be a pretty good hot sauce scene in Sweden I'm in touch with a couple of producers and this is the latest one to kindly be sent to me. @sofiasgardendeli have created their own range of hot sauces and this one is themed around Hades, the Greek god of war. Let's see how it tastes.
_ 👁 I mean it looks great. It's hard to see on the picture but the little skull icon at the top is foiled and the seal at the top is a lovely matt black. The font fits the theme and the design has been kept to a range of dark colours, it looks menacing and I love it. _ 👃 This has a very odd smell. It's like that medicated shampoo you get for dry scalps, mixed with a hint of sweet vinegar. Maybe it tastes different. _ 👅 Nope. The first thing you get is an almost synthetic soapy floral taste. At first I thought it was a strange herb that I hadn't tasted before but on translating the label (my Swedish is well... non existent) I can't find anything that resembles a herb. Maybe I'm missing it... or maybe it's the preservatives. It's a shame really as after that it ends with a marginally pleasant sweet heat. A mystery. _ 👬 I can see this with Indian food bizarrely due to the mango. Maybe try dipping in an onion bajji or a samosa. _ 🍕 It's quite thin despite using thickeners, which seems bizarre. So not great for dipping. Despite the nozzle it does come out quite quickly so approach with caution when pouring.
