Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Time for another BBQ sauce I think! This time it's @sbrbbq and their thick sweet and tangy BBQ sauce. Born in the Windy City in 1985 legend says (as well as the bottle) that it gets it's name from a nickname given to one of the founders. Let's see what the sauce is saying!
_ 👁 I picked this up in my local corner shop of all places and it stood out enough on the shelf for me to pick it up. I love the big old american bottle. Similar to the ones they have ranch in... lots of sauce and no messing about. The label is ok, a little dated but does the job. _ 👃 It smells smokey (obviously) and savoury. It's rich like chocolate and there's no doubt the flavour is going to be punchy. _ 👅 I'll be honest I didn't want to like this as much as I did. They're a big company and the ingredients are far from all natural... BUT It just tastes good. Sweet first and then tangy, an earthy smoked flavour then rises behind this ensemble and it just seems to work. It's beautifully thick too which helps to carry the flavours and make them last on your tongue. _ 👭 So far I've tried this on southern fried chicken, in a wrap and on it's own. Naturally though it was made for barbecue. Pork belly particularly would be amazing. _ 🍕 It's one of the best dipping sauces I've ever reviews. Thick, sticky and lives in a bottle that's designed perfectly to squeeze out all that goodness without getting it everywhere. A* _
