Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Heat:🔥🔥🔥 We're reaching halfway with 5 of 10 posts in collaboration with @hot_sauce_society, London's FIRST hot sauce festival! Coming this April 13th a host of hot sauce producers (including myself) will be gathering in Copeland Park, Peckham for a day celebrating the iconic condiment. I'm going to be reviewing 10 of them, 1 per day, ahead of it and now it's time to get fruity with @vivs_kitchen 'Mango Madness'.
_ 👁 Everything about this is cute. Without meaning to be condescending at all the bottle is dinky and the drawing is... well it's an amateur job and usually that would upset me but for some reason in this case it just seems endearing. _ 👃 This has a beautiful sweet fruity fragrance with a spicy undertone. Spicy in the sense that spices have been used as opposed to heat. It's already got me excited to try it. _ 👅 First you register the lovely sweet, fruity body of the mangos followed by a sharp citrus bite from the lime. This develops into a really satisfying savoury umami that gives away to a delicate and fragrant heat. This tastes like years of experience distilled into a bottle, I can imagine Viv in her kitchen now, infusing each serving with a little magic. _ 👭 Confession... my bottle is nearly gone already... so let's say I've paired it with everything. A standout combination was with a cheese toasty, this resembles chutney so it goes very well with cheese. _ 🍕 It's the PERFECT dip. There's a really nice chunky sticky texture to it and the bottle is exactly right in order for it to come out smoothly. This has been a real treat on every level, thanks Viv.
