Sauce Review: 'Your Favourite' SauceHot Sauce Review:

Rating: ⭐⭐ May I introduce to you 'Your Favourite' sauce. My lovely friend @Jackanthonyewins brought this back from Japan for me when he visited on his honeymoon. He had no idea what it was and after some research and a fair bit of Google translate I've placed it as an 'Okonomi Sauce' made by @otajoyotafuku. A kind of sauce in Japan akin to Worcestershire sauce designed to put on meat and savoury pancakes.

👁 It looks... exciting. Mainly because it's not like anything I'm used to seeing. I love the unnecessary amount of packaging they use on products in Japan. Why put a PLASTIC bottle in a plastic bag? Madness. The little mascot looks cheerful too.

👃 It smells salty like soya sauce but with more of a tang. Definitely akin to Worcestershire sauce like the internet suggested!

👅 Very strange. It does kind of taste like Worcestershire but... it's really hard to describe it feels like there's something missing in the middle. It's unnaturally smooth and tastes really synthetic. It starts with a saltiness and a sweet tang which is quite nice and then that gives way into a kind of synthetic oily plastic taste that lingers on the tongue. It's got a crazy amount of ingredients for a sauce too, everything from alcohol to oyster extract and shiitake mushrooms. With a good dose of preservatives, this stuff can't be good for you.

_

👬 It's designed for savoury pancakes but I can imagine this is quite nice on top of a pork based noodle dish. Give it some extra zing.

🍕 It's a great dipping consistency, really smooth and the bottle is perfect for dispensing. Maybe even the best squirting acting I've ever seen... engineering at it's finest.
